On Saturday, August 23, 2025, students of Classes 4 and 5 took part in a Ganesha idol making session in our school. The classrooms were full of energy as the children experimented with different ways to make their idols. Some used clay, a few mixed turmeric with water, and others worked with wheat flour, which was simple, soft, and eco-friendly. Each student shaped the idol in their own style: some added small crowns, some placed laddus in front, and others kept their idols plain but neat. The room was lively with conversations and laughter as the activity went on.

This activity gave the students a chance to connect with the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi in a creative and thoughtful way. Using natural materials like turmeric, flour, and clay meant that the idols were safe for the environment and could dissolve easily. The children finished the session with pride, happy that they had created something on their own. More than just an art activity, it turned into a moment of learning and celebration.

The variety of idols made the session interesting. A few idols stood out with their bright yellow turmeric color, some flour idols had tiny details, and others were decorated with flowers. No two idols looked the same, and that was what made them special. Some students worked carefully and took time to get every feature right, while others enjoyed trying out different shapes and ideas quickly. By the end, the desks were lined with rows of Ganeshas, each different but equally meaningful.
